Renewable Energy: Wind Turbines

With the increasing cost of fossil fuel, and no help in sight from our own governments, we are left to fend for ourselves. What do we do in the next 10 or 20 years? How much more fuels reserves are left? What will the cost of fuel be in 20 years?

Instead of pondering on these questions, we decided to put matters into our hands by bringing wind power technology to the Philippines.

After seeing a documentary on National Geographic about a town in Arizona that was 100% free of fossil fuel use (they are using wind turbines and solar energy for their homes), we did our homework and created our own, small scale, do-it-yourself wind turbines that generate from 50 to 1,500watts.

These wind turbines are about as large as an ordinary electric fan while some have blades that are 36 inches long (3 blades per turbine). Not much assembly needed. All you need to do is attach it to the side of your house and presto! you've got power which you can either store in batteries for use later, use it along with your regular electric power or stand alone.

These turbines can generate electricity from the slightest breeze (4-6kph) and can store energy for later use.

If you are interested, we have the schematics for these turbines and we would not be at all hesitant to share them with you. Just email me here and let me know that you are interested to have your own portable, home turbines just like mine. The pointis, we'd like to make sure everyone gets a fair share from soemthing that is free and around us.
